This is the most horrible place my daughter has ever been in! The staff and the kids curse ! They let kids beat up on other kids my daughter was punched in the eye when she was there! And the staff cursed and talked bad to her ! And the food was nasty she said!

This place was hell. The staff did not protect the students and there was no division between the patients with anger management and the foster kids, or the depressed.

I was there until June, 2014 They sit on kids and beat them, and also they broke my left arm in 3 different places.

It really helped my daughter! She was in another facility in a different state. She was there for around 5 months and I had her switch because there was no improvement amongst other issues I won't say. This facility was great for her. She completly turned around and is home withing 2 months. It's an amazing place from what my daughter has said. Thank you so much!

This was the worst facility I've been to. The staff are predominantly the worst group of underpaid people to be put around people who need emotional support. Yelling is seen as one of the best solutions to a problem, which can cause flashbacks and violence. The rooms are usually shared, which is okay; but some patients fight a lot until their room gets changed. Lots of violence (even in "control" they are downright scary). The food is beyond disgusting and often under-cooked or burnt to a crisp. The few good staff are far outnumbered by the mean and rude staff complaining about being there. The therapy that is supposedly wonderful is once a week at best. The "groups" are groups of people in the same classroom as a therapist and most of the patients are sleeping. If you file a complaint or witness statement, you are discouraged. There is literally broken glass laying around where the patients are (outside) quite frequently. And oftentimes, what you wrote circulates through the staff. Many staff even claim that if their kid needed help, they wouldn't send them to Millcreek of Arkansas. In addition to all of those cons, the highest education is supposedly a high school education, however even in the highest class, patients are intellectually confined to work equivalent to that in a fourth grade class. If you've read all of this, you're clearly considering this as a treatment option. When you put your child in, put them in knowing that it is an abrasive environment that is glorified in reviews and the patient's true feelings are disregarded, not dealt with, and simply suppressed with medicine. You will be able to write your children, but you can only talk to them for 40 minutes a week and that will be difficult for all parties. I would strongly advise not sending someone in need of true help here. Especially someone who suffers from PTSD or needs to be secure, for proper treatment for these things is certainly unattainable in this facility.
